Museum - Day 10

Day 10 - Ma, Patti and I drove into Glasgow to do some grocery shopping and visit the local Museum.  The three of us enjoy museums and pretty much read everything.  Before heading back to St. Marie, we ate lunch at the local McDonalds.  This McDonalds is by far the ugliest Micky D's I have ever visited.

Heading back to St. Marie we pass the welcome sign. Patti and I took a drive to the post office in the middle of the old Air Force Base. This place is huge and must have been one busy community back in the 1950's and 60's. Much of the housing is completely run down but many of the streets are very pretty. The folks that live here take good care of their properties and must look a lot like they did decades ago when the base was active. The run-way can handle the biggest of aircraft and in fact is third in line for the space shuttle landing if the other two options are unavailable. We did not try and get close to the actual base as the KEEP OUT signs are very intimidating. One has the feeling that there is something going on in the big buildings but I guess we will never know.

Here is a photo of Linda (Sparky), Cody (no kidding) and Frank Vargo, my cousins next door neighbors. They moved here from Hawaii where they lived 20+ years on their boat. I know it is hard to believe they left Hawaii for St. Marie, but these Montana people are a little crazy anyway.

My cousin calls this money, money, money, money, etc.
