The VW is ready for paint.

The VW primed, sanded and ready for the color coat.

Parts are hanging everywhere waiting for paint.

It's hard to believe that I have it this far.

Ready to shoot some paint.

The main color is Light Almond Pearl.  It is the same color as Patti's PT Cruiser.

The fenders and doors are painted first and then installed on the car.

Waiting for installation.

The top and both hoods will be painted a beautiful Jaguar brown.

The finished paint with the doors and half the fenders hung.

The other half to go . . . .

The paint turned out great - especially for my first attempt.

It is fun to see everything looking factory new.

I've started installing the new interior package.

I tore the first headliner about 5 minutes before I finished the job.  My motto has always been "it's so nice because we build it twice".

Before the fenders but after the doors.
