Lynx Creek Leather

Lynx Creek Leather is up and running.  Please take a look at my website: www.lynxcreekleather.com

My first Harley Davidson seat.  This is the foam base.

Black cow hide with red leather detail.

This is my old sewing machine - she has been with me since the 70's.

The logo was purchased from the local Harley shop - the red is leather.

A small design was sewn on the front.

A larger design with a red leather insert added to the back.

The finished seat with red welting on seams.

My old Singer looked like this when new.  She was built about 1914.  I've owned her since the 70's.

One day (it may have been the heat) I decided to restore her to some sort of glory.  She was taken about 85% apart, inside and out.  All the parts were wire brushed clean and oiled.  A lot of photos were taken so that I could get the machine back together.

I masked her off and after a coat of primer shot the main body with International Harvester red.

The red was masked and bottom was painted black.

The finished job.  Now the table looks bad and needs restored.  If it's not one thing it's another.  She looks and sews like a brand new machine.  The old boot makers use these machines to sew all of those beautiful boot designs.

My "new to me" sewing  machine - a Brother walking foot - a real monster.

Ma got me a Roy Rogers guitar for Father's Day

My second tomato - we ate the first but this one was soooo good.  I have a huge crop.
Steve and Sara have a new camping rig - we took it to Sedona last weekend.

Two king beds plus all amenities, including air. This unit is going to see a lot of camping over the next several years.
We had camp-sites next to each other in Rancho Sedona RV Park. It has been many years since we stayed here last.  The girls were young and Elyse was with us.  Mom and Dad also.
Emma learning how to drive the car - she also knows where mom keeps the gum.
Jacob found a stop sign.
Oak Creek runs right next to the RV Park.  Ben is getting so grown up.
Emma and Barbie playing in the water.
The water was really nice and cool.
Steve trying to hurt himself in the swimming hole.
Sedona can be a strange place - no that is not Bob from Bookmans
There is a Dairy Queen to be found anywhere.
We went into Flagstaff to visit NAU.
Giddy-up grandpa.

Sara is pointing at her old dorm room - it is no longer a dorm.
Bookmans building caved in from snowfall - this is the new one.
Now where did Jacob get off to?
Sara cooked pancakes - they were good.
Someone stole grandpa's hat.

This photo was taken the last time we stayed at Rancho Sedona.  Katie did not want to be away from her mom so she stayed home.

Slide Rock when the girls were little.  This trip we dropped Steve, Sara and the boys at the road and they climbed down to the slide area.  There was a million people.  Ma, Emma and I went yard saling.

This is when you could enjoy the park without so many people.
